I do two types of comp prep with my clients in both body building and powerlifting. Both are the extreme end of body recomposition. Powerlifting is entirely focused on maximal strength and bodybuilding is solely focused on extreme muscularity and conditioning. They are 2 different sports but a very similar in methods. In either sport require a huge amount of discipline and dedication.
Body composition pushed the absolute limit. Our approach is different from most taking an holistic approach to positive body composition changes. We have a minimum 6 month prep phase assuming you have some conditioning and muscle otherwise expect a 12-18 month prep
Powerlifting is the other extreme pushing strength training to the absolute limit in competition. The goal is simple, The strongest wins. Every inch of your body will be purpose build for a single purpose and that is to move as much weight as humanly possible. Peak strength is a skill, we will teach every physical, technical and mental aspect to squeeze as much as you can out of the bar.
Bodybuilding Comp Prep
Body composition pushed the absolute limit. Our approach is different from most taking an holistic approach to positive body composition changes. The problem with the current industry is that everyone wants the long term goal but only have a short term mind set so people rush into competitions destroying they’re own metabolism and health sometimes permanently. Success comes from long term goal with long term mindsets. We have a minimum 6 month prep phase assuming you have some conditioning and muscle otherwise expect a 12-18 month prep
With Bodybuilding comp prep I take a more holistic approach to build your body’s metabolism and training capacity to ensure your body is ready to drop calories and handle the volume of training to come. We aim to make the athlete fit the comp but most of the industry is trying to make the comp fit the athlete. Here the problem everyone wants the long term goal but only have a short term mind sets so people rush into competitions at the cost of there own health sometimes causing permanent damage (I’ve seen it). Success comes from long term goal with long term mindsets. This is why we need at least 6 month prep and must be already in condition. For for the rest except 12-18 months if you want to do this like the pros.
Powerlifting Comp Prep
If you just enjoy strength training and interested in being big and strong then powerlifting is more for you. Similar principles apply where we build your training capacity, build your metabolism and build as much muscle as possible to ensure when it’s time to prepare for competition we get the most out of the training. Nutrition is a very an important aspect as it can facilitate efficient recovery and optimise your body composition.
The 4 most important things to powerlifting are your program, technique, nutrition and mentality. In this prep I will teach your control over every aspect of the physical, mental and emotional requirements of being a successful athlete. I will also teach you how to be a successful competitor, as the strongest doesn’t always win the competition.
